,Designed by Steve,' was started to help people like Steve to be able to work even though they can only work from home. Its aim is to be a portal for anyone who has to work from home because of disability, family commitments or social economic circumstances.
At the moment it offers a web design and management service from concept to ongoing management. This service includes, design and creation of a website, hosting of websites and SEO(Search Engine Optimisation).
We work with individuals and organisations to design their website, doing everything from creating a logo and brand, background research, to encoding and hosting the website. We will then go on and help each customer promote their website.
It is because we all work from our homes and therefore do not have extra overheads that we can offer these services at very competitive prices.

About Steve
Steve was injured in an accident in 2000 when a drunk driver hit his car early one morning. It took him a long time to partially recover from the effects of this accident and it has left him severely disabled. Being unable to walk and having to take frequent rests lying down to relieve chronic pain, has meant he has not be able to work since the accident.
This left him in the ‘benefits trap,’ which many other disabled people have found themselves in. The only way for him to work was to do so for himself from home. It would take time for him to build a business that would give him an income; with limited resources he was not able to fund this himself.
He now works under the permitted work rules and is not only designing websites and managing their hosting but is working with his long term friend and 3 Ships CEO Bryan Darnell, In Biz advisor James Miller, Community Interest Company 3 Percent Plus, and good friend Paul Weaver to set up a CIC to get funding to enable others in a similar situation as himself to use their talents to help others.
He hopes that with funding he can set up a virtual office system, run by people from home, which will provide, a telephone answering (virtual office) service as well as other back office services. These services which will include accounting/bookkeeping, credit management, letter typing and of course a full range of web services will be aimed at the small business and not for profit concerns. |
